Céline anyone?

The sports luxe trend is one thats been lingering for a number of seasons now and for that I am eternally grateful as I will always have an excuse for wearing trainers to work. I have to admit I often miss out the 'luxe' part to my sporty looks when I'm dashing around on a daily basis yet styling these comfy shoes with a white Céline tee usually does the trick. I love this modern take on the tennis skirt in matte pleated pleather adding texture and femininity to the outfit. I've added a metallic flat clutch to finish off, matching my ever-so-loved collection of silver rings.

AC-DC

I find I'm at my most comfortable when I'm wearing a printed t-shirt and skinny jeans. Its such an easy look to pull off and can be dressed up or down for all occasions. I love this AC-DC rock t-shirt which I've styled with a super long waistcoat and ripped skinny jeans. These leopard print pony-skin boots add a bit of glam-rock to any outfit, and they are currently in the Zara sale. Whenever I wear these I always get asked where I got them from so they're definitely a must try.

Thai Yellow Curry with Salmon - the simple way

Cooking is hobby I really enjoy especially when I have a day off where there's plenty of time to experiment and cook from scratch. So when I had a bit of time off over Christmas I decided to have a flick through some new recipe books and get back to cooking. I was given the Honestly Healthy alkaline diet book by Natasha Corrett and Vicki Edgson as a gift for Christmas. It includes plenty of colourful and inspiring recipes that I'm dying to try. This curry recipe seemed like the perfect warm and comforting meal to cook my family. However it seems that many authentic recipes, like this one, include ingredients that you can only use that once and you end up purchasing a lot of spices and oils that sit in the cupboard for years with no use. So I've tweaked this recipe by using ingredients that can be used for countless meals and are easy to track down whilst keeping it's traditional taste.

On a lunch break...

Working in the centre of London can be rather stressful, especially during the Christmas period when the streets are crammed full of tourists and sale shoppers. When I do pop out on my lunch break I trail round the back roads and alley ways just off Oxford Street, all leading to the same place but with less of the drama. A better way to explore and enjoy the city in my opinion.

Peony in Winter

I decided for one day only I'd stop dressing in dark clothes for winter and add a pop of colour to my outfit. This pink coat from Topshop SS14 is quite warm so I didn't get it out much earlier this year when the weather changed. Its nice a roomy so I put a thick grey roll neck underneath too. Bare legs probably wasn't the greatest idea as it is pretty freezing but I love this outfit all the same. I tried to go a bit 60s inspired with the mini skirt and roll neck combo. Not quite Bridget Bardot but I working on it...

The Pigeon Dress

When I first posted a picture of this dress on Instagram I was debating over lunch 'what should my caption be?'. Unexpectedly the vote was 'The Pigeon Dress'. Unbeknown to me this dress reminds my friends of a pigeon's speckles and feathers which now I can't help think about every time I put it on. Nonetheless I still love it's floatiness and frills, and its one of the only girly items I have in my wardrobe so I like to whip it out on special days. I've styled it with a leather cream and burgundy flippy clutch and some suede ankle boots. All Topshop.
