London resident

2015 was a busy year. I finally moved to London and am a happily settled in my newly decorated flat in Streatham (South London!). So now I have a new obsession with interiors and have bought books on different types of light fittings...who am I?! I'm definitely not an expert but be prepared I may have to feature some of my findings and interior experiments on here. I thought it would only be right for my first post as a city resident to be shot in the very cultural Brixton, just a few mins down the road from me. I am sitting on the beautiful steps in front of Brixton church which have the most gorgeous stone columns. This church also features a great Tapas restaurant underground (fun fact!) which has some of the best Spanish Tapas London has to offer. My Spanish boyfriend also rated the food pretty high so that must say something.

The Last Days of Winter

I have my fingers tightly crossed that this will be my last post with a wooly hat and jumper before the Spring season sweeps in. However this green leather jacket, I predict, will not be restricted to any future posts. Somehow I haven't managed to find an outfit that this purchase doesn't go with. Like khaki, this olive green complements so many other colours which means its super easy to style. I bought it from Topshop Boutique where quality and design can be compared with some of my favourite luxury brands. The wooly beany hat I am proud to say was made by my sister *thanks Rosie!*.

Baby It's *Still* Cold Outside

Whilst its still pretty chilly outside at the moment a cover up or kimono is a trendy alternative to throw-over an outfit without disguising it altogether. This one I'm wearing is from River Island a few years ago but since Burberry brought out personalised kimonos for AW14, the design has been filtered down and copied a lot this season so that folk like me can bag one from the highstreet. Although the kimono has a dominant tribal pattern I've still teamed it with a striped shirt as I love a clashing print. My cuffs are from & Other Stories which can be shown off in all their glory with a shirt like this.

Nutty Granola and Flapjacks - The Honestly Healthy Way

When it comes to cereals and 'healthy' treats, I feel like I never really know what brands to trust. For January I've experimented with homemade recipes so that I can be sure what I am eating is wholesome and nutritious. Honestly Healthy is a fab recipe book which focuses on eating the Alkaline way and avoiding acidic foods which can affect digestion. This post is inspired by their 'Sticky Seed Flapjack' recipe which is jam packed with nuts, seeds and fruit. I've taken the recipe one step further by making a homemade granola with the ingredients and whipping up a dreamy breakfast with the results.

Céline anyone?

The sports luxe trend is one thats been lingering for a number of seasons now and for that I am eternally grateful as I will always have an excuse for wearing trainers to work. I have to admit I often miss out the 'luxe' part to my sporty looks when I'm dashing around on a daily basis yet styling these comfy shoes with a white Céline tee usually does the trick. I love this modern take on the tennis skirt in matte pleated pleather adding texture and femininity to the outfit. I've added a metallic flat clutch to finish off, matching my ever-so-loved collection of silver rings.

AC-DC

I find I'm at my most comfortable when I'm wearing a printed t-shirt and skinny jeans. Its such an easy look to pull off and can be dressed up or down for all occasions. I love this AC-DC rock t-shirt which I've styled with a super long waistcoat and ripped skinny jeans. These leopard print pony-skin boots add a bit of glam-rock to any outfit, and they are currently in the Zara sale. Whenever I wear these I always get asked where I got them from so they're definitely a must try.
